Are you ready to JOIN SOMETHING?Members of the LWV-NPC were delighted to host the Join Something event, bringing area residents together for an afternoon of learning and community engagement. We extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors for their generous financial support and to the many local organizations that participated in the Club Fair following the movie screening. We envision a democracy where every person has
the desire, the right, the knowledge, and the
confidence to participate.
|
We believe in the power of women to create a
more perfect democracy. The League is proud to be nonpartisan, neither supporting nor opposing candidates or political parties at any level of democracy, but always working on vital issues of concern to members and the public. |

LWV Northern Portage County
|
As a subset of the National League and the Ohio League, the Northern Portage County League of Women Voters advocates within the communities of Aurora, Freedom, Garrettsville, Hiram, Mantua, Nelson and Shalersville.
Each local League develops and comes to a consensus on positions within its community with which it takes action. The action taken may be in several forms, including letter writing, testifying at pubic hearings, serving on committees and/or commissions, and lobbying at local, state, or national levels for legislation. |
